Exhibition "Freedom Rising: I am the Story" is now showing at the Minneapolis Institute of Art ( @artsmia ) in-person and online until September 19, 2021.

Showing works as part of a larger project curated by WCQN founder Carolyn Mazloomi (@carolynlmazloomi — conceived of in response to Minneapolis becoming an epicenter for nationwide protests following the police killing of George Floyd.

L’Merchie Frazier discusses the Shaw 54th Regiment Memorial for Open Studio with Jared Bowen (WGBH)

From WGBH, “158 years to the day after Col. Robert Gould Shaw and his men marched down Beacon Street past the State House, the newly-restored Shaw 54th Regiment Memorial was formally unveiled earlier today. The 54th was one of the first U.S. military regiment comprised of African American soldiers in the Union during the Civil War.

Harvard University’s Cooper Gallery hosts inaugural, “Conversation Club with artist L’Merchie Frazier”

The Cooper Gallery offers an event series that fosters conversation among artists and audiences and focuses on creating a local community around art in our virtual world.

The Conversation Club creates a space for discussion and distillation, away from the onslaught of the perpetual news cycle, where participants can learn more about art and other topics as a community, and gives Boston-based artists a platform to share their work and ideas.
